Americans charge during World War I
Americans charge during World War I

Well, hardly a day goes by without some new “thing” coming up in the business of the High Point History Series. Nowadays, I’m working on the American History 1754-1945 project. (Remember, once you publish a book, the work has just begun.) I am also working on an entirely new project.

In August, (or perhaps July, maybe June, you decide) the world will be observing the arrival of the centennial anniversary of the beginning of the First World War. Due to this momentous date, (1914-2014), I have decided that the next installment of the High Point History Series will be dedicated to providing a concise overview of the First World War, its causes and consequences, touching on military, economic, social and political events while maintaining a Christian worldview and acknowledging the Providence of God in human events and affairs.

Some of the most valuable elements in The High Point History Series: American History 1754-1945 will be present in my new project. These include the concise, easy-to-read format, the emphasis on the Providence of God and the inclusion of elements like “Thinking More About It” questions and “Cool Facts”.

In addition, I am seeking to add more personal touches to the history. I am planning on including little “snippets of life” or excerpts from war diaries and eyewitness accounts of people in the midst of the Great War.

I hope to have this book available in print by August, 2014. Stay posted for more details. If you are interested in reviewing the book before its release please let me know by emailing me at jace@highpointhistory.com
